Titanium Critter Scales for Spyderco Bodacious
Made out of grade 5 titanium. The handle offers an excellent combination of high strength and toughness over the stock G10. The scales are machined with attention to detail with hard edges chamfered and hand-sanded for a smooth finish before blasting.
- All blasted scales are finished with oil-based PTFE to help reduce fingerprints and scratches.
- Scales is half liner delete and only uses the liner lock side.
- Lightly brushed with aluminum blasted textured and stonewash.
- Made out of grade 5 titanium, knife and hardware not included.

These Ti bodacious scales feel incredible and are comfortable and solid. After installing them, however, the lock bar traveled slightly further across the lock face of the blade tang and created a little more lock stick. I believe this has to do with the fact that one of the liners is deleted. The liners hold the stop pin snuggly in place on each side with the factory scales, while these scales allow the stop pin to shift up slightly on the clip side without the liner to hold it in its exact factory position, giving more space for lock bar to travel before contacting lock face. The pivot action also got tighter after eliminating all side to side play, requiring a smidge of wrist to get it to shut with one hand. Not a big issue for me at all, just an observation. Still recommend.
It definitely adds to what is missing from the knife. I wanted grip and that is what it did for me and the scales are really cool looking too.
